Launching Single Together: 10‑Days and Counting

My book, Single Together: Stewarding Singleness in the Family of God will be launching on Monday, July 27, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. . .or more grateful to the Lord for His help and His people!

For the last few months, progress toward the launch has continued:

  • I recorded the audio book and have received my copy. It will also be available on July 27. Some of you have asked about the process, and it was quite enjoyable working through it. The final recording is 6 hours long, and it took us 13 hours all together to record.
  • I received my author’s copies and unboxed them with some of my favorite people. (See the video here.)
  • I am working through the marketing plan with the folks from New Growth.
  • We are beginning to schedule podcast and media interviews. If you are interested in joining in on that, please contact me.

I am so grateful for the people who have contributed to the endorsements of this book. The community that has come together to support me in this project has been a phenomenal gift from the Lord. I have included half of them here, and you might recognize a few of the names. I post the other half soon.

“I am not sure what I enjoyed the most—the thoughtful and succinct Bible exegesis, the careful separation of principle from opinion, the hilarious stories, the prioritization of the local church, or just the fact that the whole book is brimming with biblical hope! Lisa’s work has made me more grateful than ever for the godly, humble singles of my own local church and for the joy we share together as one little outpost of the family of God.”
Paul Martin, Senior Pastor, Grace Fellowship Church, Toronto, Canada; blogger, Preacher Thoughts

“In Single Together, Lisa LaGeorge offers a faithful, Scripture-rich vision of singleness that is both corrective and deeply encouraging. She is not afraid to speak hard truth about how singleness is often misunderstood in the church. She walks through the storyline of Scripture, helping readers see how fruitfulness, identity, and purpose are rooted in Christ, not in marital status. Her emphasis on stewardship shifts the focus from what is lacking to what has been entrusted to us. This book serves singles, pastors, and churches alike, reminding us that our ultimate hope is not marriage, but Christ himself.”
Shannon K. McCoy, Biblical Counselor; author of Help! I’m a Slave to Food

“After discussing this topic over two decades in two countries, I’m grateful Lisa has written this helpful book. Her clarity has shaped my perspective as a pastor and our approach to singles as a family. I’m glad these insights are now available—not only for singles, but for any believer seeking a Christ-centered understanding of singleness and community.”
Juan F. Moncayo, Senior Pastor, Iglesia La Fuente, Quito, Ecuador; author; professor; fellow, ACBC

Single Together is a must-read for every believer serious about the local church. It is not pedantic—it is genuinely instructional for singles and families desiring to be one in Christ. Lisa graciously upholds the fact that singleness is not a waiting room, a lesser state, or an unfortunate setback—it is a gift to the church and a stewardship.”
Faly Ravoahangy, President and Founder, Madagascar 3M Group

“Singleness is not a monolithic category or set of experiences. In Single Together, Lisa LaGeorge blends biblical scholarship, rigorous research, personal experience, and wisdom gleaned from decades of ministry to enlighten Christians on the complexities of stewarding singleness as the body of Christ. Every Christian adult needs to read this book because it directly touches all of us personally and relationally. Everyone is single at the beginning of life, many return to singleness after marriage ends, and some remain single all of life. The body of Christ is made up of people with all kinds of relational statuses, and we are called to steward our lives together. Single Together is informative, transformative, and delightful to read.”
Curtis Solomon, Executive Director, The Sentinel Institute; program coordinator of biblical counseling, Boyce College; author of I Have PTSD

“I had the privilege of watching these truths Lisa writes about modeled firsthand in her faith-filled ministry to college students. Lisa has equipped me with insight as a father of single daughters and as a pastor employing the multitude of gifts the singles in our church possess. Her vulnerability is refreshing, while her tenderness breathes confidence. Read it to be a faithful disciple and to disciple others well!”
Mark Spansel, Pastor, Redeemer Church, Santa Clarita, CA

“Lisa has written a much-needed book for a demographic in our churches that is often overlooked. Throughout the book, she weaves Scripture in ways that both encourage and challenge single people in every area of life. This is a valuable resource for shepherding pastors who want to better understand and care for singles of all ages within their churches.”
Alexander Strauch, Author of Biblical Eldership

“This book is a tremendous aid for understanding the Christian single as they seek to live a life of faithfulness to Christ. The insights presented here will help believers see singleness as God does. The better the church understands our single brothers and sisters, the more they will feel a welcomed and treasured part of the family of God.”
Mark Tatlock, President, The Master’s Academy International

“Lisa LaGeorge beautifully navigates the joys and sorrows of singleness while pointing readers toward their ultimate identity in Christ. Single Together recovers a high, biblical view of singleness that is often lost in modern culture. It is a meaningful resource that equips the whole church to love more intentionally.”
Shauna Van Dyke, Executive Director, The Association of Biblical Counselors (ABC)

“Lisa and I met over two decades ago. As a student, she invested in me, deeply impacted me, and was a precious example of a purposeful life dedicated to God. It is the same kind of intentionality that I see in this
book, for both singles and the church. Single Together is a much-needed book. It is engaging, balanced, thought-provoking, beautifully written, filled with humor and stories that will move your heart in a renewed awe for God’s purpose for singleness —one in which singles are not alone.”
Philippe Viguier, Pastor of EPEVC church in Lyon, France, and co-dean of Faculté Théologique Scriptura

“In this wise and deeply encouraging book, Lisa LaGeorge helps singles who desire to thrive, ministers who want to lead more faithfully, and churches learning to live as true family in Christ. She offers biblically rooted language, vision, and hope for singleness as not just something to tolerate but something to rejoice in as part of the whole body of Christ.”
Scott Zeller, Vice President of Regions, Acts 29; pastor; missiologist
