Almighty God of the deep,
You sent a fish for Jonah, to return his heart to You.
You sent a humpback to refresh my soul.
He’s lolled out there in Favorite Channel for the past five days, drawing my eyes to the water, to the mountains beyond the water, to the God who made the mountains and the whale and the water.
In his grieving, Job questioned your justice, and You answered with Leviathan: “Who are you…where were you…did you?”
With Job, I lay my hand over my mouth. Together with my Leviathan, I worship You, the Almighty Creator, Sustainer, and Righteous Judge.
Amen.
